It means you are being introspective -- disappointment does open a window of introspection, if we are able to breathe the fresh air of reluctant self-criticism that it ushers in -- and becoming mature -- disappointment is the path every heart traverses to realise how frail it is; to see how teenage images of invincibility are destined to fall flat.... You are now becoming a woman. A girl out of home, exposed to the big, big world, grows into a woman. Sees life. Comes alive to its frailties.... Congrats girl. The transformation is now on.....
See, disappointment is just here to remind you, not that your idealism has to die, but simply that you have to fight harder to retain it. There are two ways of doing things and you've heard of them before- either you like what you get or you try to get what you like.
